Jon Feldman

I have always been the type of person who wanted to have influence over an outcome, and that's what drew me to sales. During the early part of my career I came to enjoy sales cycle deal strategy and executing solid game plans. As my career continued, I used my strategy skills to build successful teams and eventually successful organizations. None of my success could have happened without the great coaches and mentors I was lucky to have. I have seen great talent struggle because they were ill prepared for their management careers and this is why we, at The Rally Call, are focused on providing great talent (YOU!) with the resources you need to become great leaders. No more will sales leaders go without the training they need to be successful. There is a sales revolution coming, and it starts with The Rally Call!

If anyone asks me what I do for a living, I always say "I'm in sales," even though I am now focused more on strategy than on selling. I have been "in sales" since I was 20 years old. "Here are your keys, your laptop, and your client list. Go build some business," was how I learned the discipline. It was really hard. This is why I am so passionate about Revenue Enablement. I would have loved to have the tools that are available to folks today. Since then, I've been blessed to work with some incredible leaders. I've learned a ton and progressed my career as a result. I've seen what good looks like across high-growth startups, scale-ups, and mature tech organizations. The common denominator is always effective front-line sales leadership. I want to empower those individuals to build great sellers and great organizations.

Jon Feldman was my VP of Sales. As an AE, I desperately wanted to be a manager. I invited him for coffee, looked him in the eye, and said, "If you don't promote me to Sales Manager, it'll be the greatest mistake of your career. Everyone will say, 'Gee, what happened to the Government Division? It was so promising... oh, Feldman made the wrong hire. Don't be that guy.'" He gave me my chance, I seized it, and I've never looked back. Fast forward to today, Sales Gurus everywhere are helping AEs make millions. But what about the lowly Manager? Often derided and expected to move mountains for tech companies, Sales Managers are mostly trained with platitudes like "hire competitive people" and don’t receive the support they need to thrive. I want to change that and help Sales Leaders take their careers to the next level.
